spotted feather

Found this unusual spotted feather while hiking along the Bruce Trail's Trimble Side Trail on Sunday. Nice trail running along the top of the valley wall of the West Credit River - about 6 or 7km of moderate terrain from the Forks of the Credit up to Belfountain Conservation Area and back.

Hi Randy, Just chanced upon your blog while looking for a way of contacting Sarah. It's been a long time. I love your photographs. A pure delight. I was trying to get in touch in case you can come over on Saturday 21st, 4ish. We are having a few friends over. Betty and Wes usually come, but they can't this time. Whatever happens, check out our blog too.
Love,
Mireille

I'm fairly certain that's a woodpecker feather.
